A DAY AT THE STUDIO

SUNDAY 1st MAY 2005

The band spent the day at the Lakeside Studios at Burwell.  We all enjoyed what turned out to be a long and tiring day - haven't worked so hard before and the weather outside was very warm (so they told us).  Only Sam our drummer and Daryl our very own "Hendrix"  had been into a studio before so the experience was a learning curve for us all.  We all learned something positive from the experience which will stand us in good stead for the next time. (Yep you have been warned - we're going to do it again!)

We  recorded five tracks in all; "I'm Going Down", "Broken Man", "His Obsession", "It's Over Now", and "Another Brick In The Wall (Remix)".

I'm Going Down is an instrumental piece which was probably our very first musical project together.  We love it and hope you do too.

The music to Broken Man was written by Daryl, Brett and Sam (before Dave joined us) and our lyricist.  For many who have heard this and our other songs it is most likely their favourite.

His Obsession has some haunting words and Daryl's solo is awesome.

It's Over Now is the lightweight of the five - it's fun 'n  funky - All we can say is - enjoy!

Can't say too much about Another Brick In the Wall (Remix) - it's not a copycat version - just something we enjoyed doing just for the Hell of it!

There was one big surprise in store for us and we certainly hadn't been expecting it.  John Drake the owner of Lakeside Studios had arranged for a photo-shoot by Michel Gillett who then designed the artwork for the CD.  We'd like to say a BIG thank you guys - you really did us proud. We very much enjoyed our day and look forward to working with John and Michel in the future.

The CD is now available as a five track mini album. The artwork has been reworked the way we like. Brett did the front cover, and everyone had some input for the rest.

Space was rather tight so there are only three photos here which were taken during breaks in recording by Steve "The Legend" Stephenson.

Someone left the door open and the "animal" escaped!
